First Time Blogger
Well, I decided to join the blogging world. Like a lot of people in the triathlon world, I've decided to start a blog chronicling training and racing during the 2009 season. First and foremost, my name is Steve, I'm a medical school student @ Temple University in scenic North Philadelphia. One of the reasons, I am starting this blog is because I've asked many, many times, how people balance medical school, training and maybe some what of a social life. Well, so far, I'm succeeding...a tad... and I'll give some hints along the way with this blog and hopefully I can help others who are in the same shoes as I am. The way this fall has been going, I am expecting a lot of success this spring/summer. I'll be shooting for my procard as well as completing Step 1 of the USMLE and starting in a new lab at Temple. Its going to be a tough start to the year, but like the saying goes, "if it were easy, everyone would be doing it." Well, hopefully, some of you out there will enjoy following my season and maybe I can inspire a few along the way. A major player in my tri pursuit is my coach/buddy Dr. Phil Skiba who runs Physfarm (www.physfarm.com) If I have a big season, it'll be because of his guidence and expertise. Until next time, take care and good luck.....sback
